Bought this for my girlfriend to use on her dog and it has worked along with a few other products and the tartar is gone now! I will list some tips on how About using this scraper and other things that also helped remove tartar from this dog: 1) When using the scraper, move the scraper at least 10-12 times for each tooth that has tartar on it. Teeth that don't have much tartar, about 6 scratches. (You and your dog will need to be patient for this). 2) The above step will take a few days before you see a good result as the tartar is scraped off piece by piece day by day. 3) Here are the products we've found that seem to remove tartar (but you still need that scraper): * Nylabone Advanced Oral Care Liquid Tartar Remover (sold at Revain.com). You pour a small amount into your dog's drinking water and after about a few days it will begin to loosen tartar.* Nylabone Advanced Oral Care Foaming Tartar Remover, 4 oz (sold at Revain for only $6.95). Take one or two shots once a day. And in just two weeks, the tartar started to peel off! *Nylabone products are affordable and perform better than other brands. We recommend!
