LOVE high seats!

My son is 3 years old, he is very tall. We are having our second child soon and I knew I needed a double for things like trips to the zoo, Disney etc. I've been shopping around for about 6 months trying to find a side by side big enough to fit my son, it's still a couple of years into the big journey. After some time of shopping/research I was dismayed to learn that I would probably have to spend over $500 for a two seater City Mini GT with a seat height of about 21 inches. And there I found this Joovy Scooter x2! The seats are as high as the Urban Mini GT. As far as I can tell they are one of the largest double beds on the market. My tall 3 year old fits amazingly well and will be comfortable for a few years! I love it! This thing is so easy to slide. When pushed, it doesn't feel much wider than a single stroller, and it turns by a dime. I know there are some negative reviews about the wheel size, but this issue has been resolved. This new version has bigger wheels and they seem to be very durable. This stroller goes over our gravel path and through the grass very easily. The bonus is that you can lock the front wheels to increase stability on rough terrain. Basket. It's huge. This thing has so much storage plus cup holders for the parents! Can't beat the price of this item! I have to add 3 small negatives: I really wish I could snap my daughter's infant carrier into this stroller. Again, I could buy a City Mini GT and buy an adapter. But I would also have lost over $600 (sled plus adapter). I spend a lot of dollars on baby gear that isn't 100% essential, but over $600 for a stroller still sounds ridiculous to me. My second con is that the thing is heavy. The folding and lifting is quite difficult, but I'm 7 months pregnant now, so that's a factor. It weighs 32 pounds, so it's not a big deal for a double. I was expecting it to be heavy, so that's a small complaint. It's no better or worse than any other side I've folded/raised at stores. Finally, the extremely large basket is difficult to access from one side when you have the seat fully reclined. I'm not even sure how they could have avoided this problem, I love that the seats recline almost horizontally and I wouldn't want to miss that. The access to the basket catches my eye because my future child seat must always be fully reclined. You can definitely get around this problem, even if you only use half the basket you still have plenty of storage space. If you have two small children and need both seats reclined all the time, this could be a bigger problem. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this stroller. Two large zippered pockets are located on the back of the seats for another storage option. Overall my complaints are very minor and the pros far outweigh the cons. I really LOVE this stroller and feel you get a lot for your money.
