When I lived in the house it was easy to take the tray outside to hose it down. You can just leave it in the sun to dry and get rid of the smell and you're done. Living in an apartment complicates the task. There are no hose connections outside and I don't want to splash cat litter water on other people. So I have to wash them in the bathtub. I don't want to wash a bunch of clay debris down the drain, so I've always used a damp paper towel to get as much dirt on the clay as possible before cleaning it in the tub. It took forever, lots of paper towels were used and I was exhausted every time. Now I can make each tray with 1-2 napkins. It's much faster and I feel less wasteful. I also don't bathe in the tub that often because they help get rid of the smell. I don't think I could live without her. I think they should be very useful for people with automatic tablets as well. Instead of taking everything apart, you can simply wipe away the stuck dirt.
