I wish I could give this trimmer more than one star because it's really great - it's simple/easy to use (no need to mess with a dozen various cumbersome appendix) and does what it's done well for. I love it so much I've bought four of these in the last 5 years, knowing full well how trashy the batteries are in this thing. I bought the one I have now in June 2018 and it's already practically dead. ; It can charge all day and then run at half power for about 10-15 seconds before running out of power. I had enough for every six months of use. Dear Remington, This is absolutely unacceptable. The ABSOLUTE WORST thing about this trimmer and the fact that these things are designed to fail is that they cannot be powered directly from the AC adapter - the battery MUST be charged for the trimmer to work. Work. What happens when you connect the world's worst batteries to an intentionally bad power supply? Trimmers that turn into useless paperweights because they won't turn on. You can see what Remington is up to here. this is such a blatant and unscrupulous money grab on your part. Anyway I keep coming back because I love this trimmer and it's so cheap I can justify buying it even though I know it will be dead in less than a year but the Remington absolutely deserves every one here One star rating. I hope the two year third party warranty is worth the few bucks it cost and I can get the next replacement for free when my last trimmer inevitably fails.
