Review on 🖤 Leviton 80414-E, 1 Pack, Black: Enhance Your Space with this Versatile Wall Plate Cover by Matt Schmick

First of all I don't understand why they are $5 or $6 on Revain depending on when you check. My local hardware store (you know the one) sells them for $2.50. It's still too much for a piece of plastic, but better than shelling out $5+! However, this does not affect my rating as I am rating the product and not the overpriced seller. Oh, what miracles with plastic! They are made entirely of plastic, which is a design flaw that makes proper installation difficult. Traditional outlets such as plugs and switches have metal brackets that can be easily bent in or out to ensure the wall plate fits snugly against the wall. This is especially important when using screwless wall panels. I got around this by gluing my wall panels in place without the inner frame that would normally be screwed into the socket. The result looks nice, but I didn't appreciate the extra loop I had to jump through. On the professional side, this is the perfect color combination for Leviton (obviously) and Eaton wallboard.
