These are great looking lights which are excellent value for money compared to similar lights on the web. I hesitated to buy this lamp because of the negative reviews below. But it looks like they've redesigned the device: 1. They've made it easier to change bulbs by installing a spring-loaded clip where the ball meets the mount. All you have to do is drag the orb and it will appear. 2. They lengthened the base to better cover the standard junction box. The new base is approximately 5.5 inches in diameter. They haven't updated the setup diagram yet to show these design changes, but the setup and features are pretty obvious once you get your hands on the parts. A word of warning: you'll probably have to buy your own lightbulbs. The kit includes a 4000K LED - too blue for most homes. (The description says you're getting a 2700K bulb, but we bought a few and they were all 4000K.) can really stand out against a matte black base.
