Review on Fitpacker Meal Prep Containers Compartment by Bethany Patel

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very happy with the Fitpacker, four stars instead of five because of a small issue

Oooh, about four weeks ago we ordered these Fitpacker cooking containers for food prep and portion control. . My husband and I are trying to get a little fit and healthy. The Fitpacker prep containers looked like a good buy so we bought several sets. The plan was to cook meals every Sunday to provide each of us three meals a day over a six day period, for a total of 36 meals. wash in dishwasher. I have to say the extra container in each pack was a great touch - great job Fitpacker! This Sunday we did our usual food counting macros and then immediately distributed the food to the bins (it didn't take long, to be honest). time beyond normal cooking). We let the food cool, then cover the containers and put them in the refrigerator. As other readers have pointed out, these containers stack up very well in the fridge. Also, the same amount of food we normally cook now fits better in the fridge leaving room for other things, which is a nice bonus. easier if you can believe it. After the containers sat in the fridge for a week, it was so easy to grab them and go or spread them out for a cozy, balanced meal. Cleaning was a simple task - rinse out the containers and put them back in the dishwasher (on the top shelf). ADVANTAGES: - Easy to store in a cupboard or fridge - Easy to clean - Rinse and place on the top rack of the dishwasher. - Facilitates healthy eating (and regular meals) on the go throughout the week - Tight fitting - These containers seal very tightly when fully closed. That's both a plus (the sauces won't spill) and a plus. Cons (see below) Cons: - tight fit - as noted above, this is both a plus and a minus. We've put meat sauce and chili in these containers and not a single drop has spilled. However, it takes a little finesse and patience to open the containers. I never thought I was an elephant in a china shop, but in the first week and a half I broke two containers (see photo - only one chip on the rim came off). The chip doesn't compromise the container's seal due to its location, but it convinced me that I can't just rip off these lids when I'm hungry. You have to carefully open the containers in the corner and then slide your finger under your lip along the edge to pop the lid. Lesson learned - no big deal. Two containers of chips still work perfectly. We've been using these containers for a couple of weeks now and I have to say we're really looking forward to pulling one out and diving into some delicious food. It helps that we love what we cook—organic, free-range, and grass-fed—but having everything in each container properly and pleasing to the eye is a wonderful complement. We actually feel (quite a bit!) annoyed when we're invited out to eat - we end up skipping our perfectly balanced, organic, delicious food :) to the next level and making clean eating a simple reality.
