Whether you have fresh bleach or not, apply this color to washed, unconditioned and dry hair. Use latex or nitrile gloves (doctor's or mechanic's gloves) and treat your hairline and ears with petroleum jelly, wear crappy dark clothes - expect paint to get on your shoulders and arms. If it gets on the skin, it can be washed off with regular soap, but the longer it sits, the harder it is to remove. Apply the color to your hair like a leave-in conditioner, only more carefully, don't skimp or I made the color in a box, it's the same concept - apply to each hair. Don't panic about "wasting" the dye left in the bottle, this stuff is shelf stable and doesn't get weird if you leave it in boxes like dyes. Don't bother washing or conditioning after a full rinse as this formula is a conditioner. On bleached hair, this color shows itself very well, and when it fades, it is still cold. The color will fade with each wash, especially when the water is hot. Hot Tip: Put some of this color in your conditioner (then let it sit for as long as possible) to prevent fading on wash days. It takes about two weeks for my bleached hair so after 3-4 washes I will go from a stunning pink to a faded pastel pink yellow. at home this (on bleached hair) is the best choice.
