I really wanted to love them very much they look very beautiful. But ALL spatulas are wrong even if you say scrambled eggs only the ends/corners touch the pan, the middle doesn't. Sure they're wood so I'm sure I can sand them down to level, but why would I do their job? The spoons were chipped on arrival and the maker obviously knew this because the wood is 100% oiled so this did not happen when shipped or distributed as the chips would not have been oiled. Spoons and ladles share the same problem: they're uneven and thick, so you can't pull anything out of the bottom of the pan. However, they are beautiful, easy to clean and have a comfortable handle to hold on to. Dishes are well balanced. This means that one end or the other is not heavier and therefore easy to lie down without falling off. I believe they endure and can be passed from generation to generation. But you must be willing to grind and level them. I had no problems with chips or bumps as they were all well sanded and oiled except for the chipped spoon. If you want to use them right away and need easy maintenance, this is NOT for you. If you want something to be passed on, willing to work a little to keep it beautiful and know how to polish it, you'll love it.
