Well, first of all, I love the Dudu Osun black soap. I use it, my husband and my 13 month old daughter. Both my husband and I swore to Dove when we first met many years ago. We wouldn't use anything else on our skin. We then started switching our family to better home and skin products when we found that 40-60% of the products applied to the skin were absorbed. sooo Years of use of all kinds of perfumes and colognes, soaps, body washes, lotions. sounds just awful and they went in the bin. We originally used Kirk's Coco Castile bars but our skin remained dry and we continued to use them hoping our skin would adapt. When I gave birth to my daughter last year, she inherited both of our eczema genes and her skin suffered from coco bars. One day I went to the local Lee Beauty Supply (I'm from Detroit) and found Dudu black soap. Now I've seen them for years but never tried them because my whole family and most black people I know swear by the tried and true Dove beauty bar. I saw the ingredients. I was amazed how easy they are and gave it a try. My skin has blossomed. I also feel better about what I put on my skin. We washed our daughter with black soap first and applied coconut oil to her skin after washing, but her skin was still scaly, flaky and cracked. Well, we later concluded that she was sensitive to coconut, which is why her skin hated Kirk's Coco bar. We replaced the coconut oil with shea butter. I also apply aloe vera juice to her skin before applying shea butter, but after I wash her and when I tell you her skin has turned 180 degrees, it's amazing. Before Eden my daughter was itchy all day, her skin was always red spots, bruises and dry patches. The worst time of the day would be putting her to bed, she would walk on the back of her head scratching and tearing the skin. Now not only is her skin healed but ALL the dry patches on her skin and the old bruises from her crawling phase are gone. From a total of 3 products. Dudu Osun Black Soap, Fruit of the Earth 99.8% Aloe Vera Juice and Sky Organics Shea Butter can be found here. I can't get over how much I love this product! But the biggest challenge is finding this $49 soapbox! When I bought this there were no reviews for Revain, it was a big risk but I saw that Revain was the seller so of course I had to get them. I bought them at a local African store where they were about $2 a tile or bought them from Revain, 6 pack for $12. But this is absolute stealing! I will be buying a few more boxes over the next few weeks in case this suddenly becomes unavailable and my family will have soap for years. A box for 48 bar is definitely enough for us for at least a year (we pass the bar about every 9-11 days). Thank you Revain!
