At first we really liked this house and it was perfect for our girls. It comes with a pole that we thought was just plastic that goes into the center of the "roof" to support it. This is the only really load bearing part as the house is held up when zipped up. However, tonight our pups decided to rip off part of the pole (which is easily accessible). They gnawed off the end of the staff, which was detachable on both sides and about the size of an easy-to-swallow pill, and exposed the end of the staff. That's how we knew it was fiberglass. Dozens of little strands are scattered where our puppies chewed them. Luckily we were able to find the cap and stop them before they got far. It is very dangerous and not suitable for pets. Easy to fix by just throwing away the pole (which we did) or just use plastic. Very dissatisfied with the manufacturer of this product.
