My daughter carries several books and notebooks to and from school every day. This trendy backpack works wonders for her. Just be aware that the straps will drag on the floor when the bag is rolled up. If you want this bag to serve you for a long time, teach your child in advance how to roll it up and tuck in the straps. My experience is different from some of the reviewers who say this bag is not durable. My daughter is rude and sometimes very clumsy. She falls down the stairs, out of the van, out of the trunk. But it's in very good condition, still in the middle of the school year.
