What a great tool! It gives you the following metrics: (1) weight (2) body fat ratio (percentage of body fat in total body weight) (3) body water ratio (how hydrated you are - important for health and fat burning) (4) body muscle ratio (muscle to body weight)(5 ) Bone Ratio (Bone Mass to Body Weight) You simply enter and see your measurements. I'm writing them in Excel because I'm trying to lose weight, get rid of fat and increase hydration, which is low. The attached leaflet tells you what range you should be in for your gender and age. I use the minimums in Excel to see how much I need to lose or improve. The scales appear to be constant from day to day. You can program them for 8 people but I'm the only one using them. I don't know if you can "hide" your results from others if you don't want them to see your numbers. You can also use it to weigh your child or pet while holding it (tare function). All in all it was a great investment and I am very happy with it. It's also very attractive! PS: I've started adding *a pinch* of baking soda to all the water I drink. I've read that it helps alkalize the water, making it better absorbed. My Ozeri scale tells me my hydration improved by 1 percentage point in just a few days. I am thrilled and grateful to have this handy scale to help me achieve this goal!
