Completely rusted through within a year.
I have three of these devices. I have used them in the field in all weather conditions for several months at multiple locations. The accessories are not subject to corrosion. All bolts and nuts are rusty. I twisted a ground stake around one and tried to stick it in solid ground. And since the clamping screw is completely rusted, I can no longer extend or retract the rod. I had really high hopes for them as they are a great idea. It only has to be made from the best components to be really worth it.
