Good strong mount. best accessory

I bought one like this a few years ago (2014) and I still use it. A lot of people say it's rusty or something. You have to wait it out, spray it with wd40 or some kind of lube and you'll have it for years. That's why I bought another one. I used my mounts for my trail cameras. I install them in my garden to see what animals and sometimes people infest my garden. When used correctly, the mount is very durable. It's metal, so it has some weight. I find it easy to use with my trail cameras.

Pros
  • Trial for a year
Cons
  • Speed

Completely rusted through within a year.

I have three of these devices. I have used them in the field in all weather conditions for several months at multiple locations. The accessories are not subject to corrosion. All bolts and nuts are rusty. I twisted a ground stake around one and tried to stick it in solid ground. And since the clamping screw is completely rusted, I can no longer extend or retract the rod. I had really high hopes for them as they are a great idea. It only has to be made from the best components to be really worth

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Compatibility

I wish I had bought it sooner

I am shocked by all the bad reviews of this ground mount game camera - it works great! As one reviewer said, you'll need to treat it with WD40 or whatever lube you have on hand to prevent rust. Any metal exposed to rain/snow at low temperatures must be treated against such exposure. The only negative thing I would say about it is that I'm not sure how well it will do in sandy soil. But that's not an obstacle for me. It is well made, durable and powder coated. You won't be disappointed or ignore

  • New

Very disappointed. for camera mounts and clamps

Great idea, I would like to use. I have a stealth cam that I put on a tripod and wanted to move around the yard. The literature says it will work with StealthCam models. nope The screw is too short even if I remove all four washers and the adjustable metal screw from the top of the bracket. I think I'll go to my favorite hardware store to see if there's a plan B, otherwise it's useless. My fault is that I waited to check until the ground was soft in the spring since the return period had…

  • Easy installation

Camera Tripod Features

Telescopic height and ground spade capability is pretty much all this device has to offer. The handle as shown in the photos is not real and is just welded to the swing arm and is just a way to rotate it, not an adjustable rotation locking mechanism for the camera tripod. The 1/4-20 bolt that connects to the game camera has a fake lock nut that is too flimsy and too small in diameter to clamp properly under the camera to tighten it and prevent it from loosening turns. You have to keep turning…

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Nice stable stand. fits camera and photo

My game camera came with a thin metal mount but I needed my own stand to mount it. I used a 4 foot metal rack mount. He staggered, fell several times and the mount that came with the camera would not attach after adjusting. And he moved so far in the wind that the motion detector worked and didn't photograph anything. This is a good solid base in comparison and easy to push into the ground with the offensive bottom. The tip that goes into the ground has a blade on one side that prevents the…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • fits

Great product buy 4 more

I use a lot of camera traps and was looking for an alternative to trees, straps and elastic cords. I do NOT use wood screw mounts. I tested the HME T-Post holder which is also a great product at a very reasonable price of around $10. But T-Posts aren't as user-friendly as this product, which is a stand and mount in one. I haven't used it for a long time, but so far it's the best for my purposes. My ground isn't very hard so it wasn't difficult to poke into the ground. This is a telescoping pole

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs

Unpacking with shipping/handling is a challenge!

Start with the least liked . The hard plastic shipping bracket on top and bottom even outperforms the Costco packaging which is really difficult to remove. I had to use a regular screwdriver to get under the clips, pry them up a bit, and then pry them out with needle nose pliers. The plastic breaks into large, dangerous pieces ready to cut your fingers. The button to unlock the up and down tube doesn't even work on my 6 foot animal son. The swingarm only moves up and down, not in circles…
