Purchase was spontaneous, but I'm glad I got it. Love the black background - my old light blue was annoying (although I love the blue). It's great to have a white surface to check the color before applying when I'm making paper. I left copic marker stains after a few days and they didn't come off right away with an old damp microfiber cloth, but a few good tries cleaned them up. A raised surface is good - you can still leave a mess on your carpet, but it's still great to have a little separation from other items in your workspace.
