Moreread Displayport (DP) to VGA adapters always work great. They're a bit more expensive than some other inexpensive DP VGA adapters, but their functionality and build quality make them worth the extra money. Using them couldn't be easier. Connect your monitor to the adapter's VGA port with a VGA cable, and then connect the DisplayPort connector to your computer. Your computer recognizes it immediately and usually sets the monitor to its native resolution. In some cases you may have to set it manually, but in all cases (at least for now), once you get it right, this adapter will display clean, crystal clear video on your VGA monitor without any weird feedback or "ripples". I've seen cheaper ones. If your PC has a DisplayPort connection and you have a VGA-only monitor, this is probably the easiest and best way to add a second display to your setup.
