I bought a London Fog coat last winter which was warm but too big but I bought it on sale so I bought it. In the end I saved it. I then lost 100 pounds and although I would have kept this coat anyway it got so big that the wind blew underneath it and I'm not built to withstand winter temperatures so I passed this coat on and bought it at the store. next size smaller. That's great. It's probably a little larger than your "standard" size, but it's roomy enough to be layered, although it's insulated enough that layering isn't necessary. The material doesn't ooze through the wind, the zipped pockets and knitted cuffs are my favorite features and the fur around the neck is lovely. No complaints.
