I bought it but it took 3 months to try it because I was preparing for a trip abroad. I know little. As soon as I started preparing for the journey, I found that it would get pulled every time I tried to add content to the drive. I started trying to use it as a Time Machine backup on my Mac. It kept getting kicked out whenever I tried and then my computer shut down. Yes, I formatted correctly. I kept trying to use it like a regular drag-and-drop hard drive. I would try to transfer a 3GB folder of video content and before it reaches 40MB it just ejects on its own. I have a 4TB WD drive that I bought at the same time and have now tried, but it works great. I should have saved that $50 in what's now just a 1TB paperweight. I think I should have tried when I got it.
