I really like this tripod. I used it for a photo shoot this weekend and it was very stable and easy to use. Pros: The spider legs that stabilize the tripod from the main stem are great. You can adjust them to give the tripod a smaller footprint when you are in a tight spot, which is very helpful. It's light but not flimsy at all. Leg locks are easy to use and secure. The swivel head is light and straight. Cons: The carrying case will not fit a tripod with a pan head attached. It's kind of a shame, because who wants to take apart a tripod every time you put it away. The locking ring on the center bar will scratch the paint if it moves at all when tightened. A few grips are a little uncomfortable and feel a little cheap. When switching to portrait it seems like the pan head goes too far and you end up tipping over slightly (vertically). Overall: very good value for money. I am completely satisfied. If I wanted to fix the problems I found with the device I would spend over $100 on a tripod. $20 for an item like this that is rarely used is totally reasonable.
