The carrier does not endure long journeys
A few weeks ago my wife and I bought this product for a trip. Everything seemed to be working great until we got to our destination (about 7 hours drive). Apparently they are not designed for a long trip on the Autobahn, because the bag was torn in several places. We didn't have anything sharp there either, just backpacks and clothes. I had to tape the bag several times throughout the remainder of the trip to prevent it from deteriorating or raining in (it rained the entire first day so all our clothes got wet). In terms of extra storage and ease of installation, it was great! I'm just really disappointed that he couldn't make a single ride without breaking.
