I got this for locking up my scooter. It weighs a bit less than a separate chain and lock. Less weight means the scooter goes faster. The chain's ability to wrap around and pass though things makes it ideal for locking up a scooter which lacks the natural triangle of a bicycle for passing a chain or lock through. I recommend pairing this with a kill switch for your scooter and having a sign that says (scooter is digitally killed/disabled). The fabric sleeve keeps the chain from dinging the scooter.No system will stop a determined thief. However a good system should deter them and make them look for easier prey. This lock should accomplish that.
