Easy to bend, foreign made

I don't usually give 1 star but these nails were terrible. First, the product description is misleading. It says both "Imported" and "County of Origin: USA" so I'm guessing these foreign made nails are shipping from the US. But to be clear, they are made in Thailand. That in itself doesn't bother me, but I thought I should clarify. Second, they bend incredibly easily, even with a direct hit. My guess is that they are using weak, impure metal or that there are imperfections in the manufacturing process. About 50-75% of nails are curved in a "V” from the center. In this way, the head and the point are still on the same line, but the body is outside, like a heartbeat on a monitor. This goes through pine, which is a soft wood, and naturally avoids knots. Ultimately I had to rely on the 10d nails I had until I could buy decent 16d nails. I put the rest of this box aside and was about to return it but missed the return window. I think they're just thrown away now. So save yourself the headache and just head to your local hardware store for cheaper, stronger, and less messy nails.
