I bought this shaker to complement a bar set and tray I was building and had two main requirements: 1) a Boston style shaker 2) something warmer than normal chrome/stainless steel . It met those requirements and had the side effect of being of very high quality. I've used it about a dozen times so far to make different smoothies and I haven't encountered any leaks or anything else that I would consider a problem.
