Review on Creality Extruder Aluminum Leveling Capricorn by Edwin Kreps

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Bowden cable out of specification! Caused by failing impressions for weeks before I was diagnosed.

I was unable to print prints after installing these updates. Each time there was a loop of thread and the impossibility of squeezing it out halfway. After several weeks of trying to adjust the parameters and cock the extruder, I decided to take the printhead apart and inspect the updated parts since it was printing long before the updates. I completely removed the Bowden hose and attempted to manually push the Creality 1.75mm thread through the hose. To my surprise, it took a lot of strength to get through it. Much more so than the factory white Bowden tube that came with my printer. I used a digital caliper to take several measurements of the thread width, thinking it might be out of spec, but I was able to measure 1.75mm (+/- 0.01mm) along the length of the thread. I then checked the internal dimensions of the Bowden tube with the same digital caliper and after several measurements for measurement accuracy I got 1.75mm (+/- 0.02mm). The internal dimensions of the Capricon Bowden tube were almost the same as the filament, which explains the difficulty in pushing the filament through! I have exceeded the 30-day return period. I will contact ComGrow/Creality to see if they can send a replacement.
