We bought our two daughters smartwatches for Christmas this year. For our youngest daughter (3) we bought a LeapFrog LeapBand, Pink Activity Tracker and for our oldest daughter (9) we bought a Kidizoom DX. After comparing the two, I definitely should have bought two of these. My daughter loves it even more than I expected. The build quality seems great, the battery lasts all day so far (she charges it overnight) and the user interface is extremely easy to understand and navigate. She loves all the different watch faces and loves tracking how much she's moved throughout the day (I especially love that she can start the pedometer and set a goal and then let it run in the background while she other clock functions used). The games included are basic, but I wasn't expecting anything supernatural. She plays them in the car or somewhere else. Just kill time every now and then. Unlike the LeapBand, this watch didn't require us to load and sync any software onto our computer. They worked right out of the box. Once the Vtech store is back online it will be interesting to see what downloadable content is available, but even if there wasn't any. We would still be happy with the watch as is. My only complaint or feature request would be that I would like to disable the camera button on the side of the watch. She already had a problem where she bent her wrist in such a way that she pressed a button and then took a picture every time the screen was touched. Floor. something like that. It's not really a big deal, but I just want to disable that button.
