Wouldn’t buy again - smiley faces on everything, confusing

There are smiley faces on all but a few things and many of the designs are too abstract to be educational. The set is super cute but in no way informative or educational so it’s really just pointless and I wish I hadn’t bought it. Cards come off the ring all the time too.Babies need realism to learn. I may try to paint over the faces to make them more useful, but as they stand I don’t use them at all and baby shows no interest.Be sure you look at more modern review photos of these as the…

Pros
  • My daughter loves !
Cons
  • Not interactive enough for some children

Practice makes perfect

Using these false cards every day since she was younger than a year old, I think it has really helped to increase her vocabulary as well as her phonics. She is able to not only identify a lot more object but can also say and repeat a lot of the pictured item on the cards. She is excited to learn more and to increase the number of cards that we've put on to a separate ring, ones that she has "mastered" vs others that she is still learning and has on her "making progress" ring. It's a great way…

Pros
  • My daughter quickly learned all these cards in 2 weeks doing them everyday
Cons
  • Learning may not be fun enough for some children

Great product-very sturdy

My 18 month old son plays with these and practices at restaurants and such. It keeps him busy and happy. They’re nice on the ring so they don’t get lost or fall in the floor, but we sometimes take them off the ring and do "find the.” games with him. Sturdy, thick cards that are holding up really well in my diaper bag and fairly frequent use. Bright colors and appealing to a young toddler.

Pros
  • Great cards I got both sets and my baby loves them
Cons
  • May not hold the child's attention for long periods of time

Great for early learning!

Love these! Really holding up to my almost one year old flipping through and every time we use them he gains more and more interest in what the next card will be.

Pros
  • SAFE MATERIALS – These toddler and baby flash cards are phthalate-free and printed on laminated thick cardboard with nontoxic inks.
Cons
  • The cards may not be varied enough in difficulty

Love these! - my new review

I love these! I love that they are mostly one syllable words for first learning speech and the pictures are colorful and they clearly look like what they are supposed to represent. I was actually hoping for a hard plastic but the thickness of the cardboard material should be sufficient. Definitely much, much better than the thin paper flash cards I had. I threw them away upon receiving these new cards, as my little one still sticks things in her mouth.

Pros
  • Playing with the flashcards can help improve a toddler's memory
Cons
  • May not be fun or engaging for children who prefer non-visual stimuli

Love the quality. Must have.

Very good quality and great value. You would think that this is more expensive. The cards are sturdy and don’t bend or start to peel.

Pros
  • The cards can be used both at home and in a classroom setting
Cons
  • May not be comprehensive enough for young learners

Cutest flash cards - my baby is obsessed

I really love these flash cards - they are so cute! The only issue is that they are artsy - so may not really represent what the actual animal is - example: the duck, the horse, the cow etc., they don't look the way you would expect them to but still cute nonetheless. These are reviews I read also but I still really like the cards. I bought sets for my friends' babies birthdays as well. My 11 month old loves these cards - she holds them while cruising the sofa!

Pros
  • June 5, 2018
Cons
  • Not enough opportunities for children to apply learned vocabulary

Great quality - my new review

Love the fact that the cards come on a ring. Bright & colorful as well as thick. I wish there we’re a few simpler words/objects that were included over a few that made the cut.

Pros
  • 26 THICK, STURDY CARDS – Each flash card measures 5" x 2.75" and is made of chunky, glossy cardboard that’s perfect for small hands to grasp and manipulate. No need to worry about your child chewing on, breaking, or bending these high-quality cards.
Cons
  • Not enough practice activities or games

I bought these for my 1.5 year old. She likes going through the cards. It’s small enough to throw in your diaper bag to take on the go.

Swear by them for my opinion

My daughter knew just about all of these before she was two. I swear By then and buy them for everyone I know with a little one.

Pros
  • The cards are made with non-toxic materials, making them safe for children to handle
Cons
  • The cards may not be organized according to common themes

Worth the buy - my new review

We have a few first words books that our little one likes, but she is obsessed with these flash cards. I think she loves how they move on the ring. Great colors and designs and a sturdy card that withstands an 18 month olds shenanigans. I’m even happier with the purchase than I anticipated.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • May not be engaging for children who already know the words

Cute! Some of the images could be a little more realistic. Too squiggly / artsy to be easily recognized. But most of them are great, and at 20ish months he was able to go through and recognize almost all of them. We got them when he was 16 months old, the actual images held his attention for a short period of time at that age, but holding/ flipping through them provided a short distraction for an airplane ride (I wrapped them up as it was christmas time, and let him open it as a stocking…

Pros
  • They are specially designed to be engaging and fun for little ones
Cons
  • Not enough opportunities for children to explore language

These are great! best in my review

My 2yr old lives his flash cards and can almost tell me every one of them! In the description it says they are laminated. They are not! But my infant constantly sticks them in his mouth and they are holding up just fine! This are great cards, though, really. I am very pleased with this purchase. I do wish the ring wasn't as easy to open though.

Pros
  • The connecter clip could be stronger.
Cons
  • Too simplistic for some children

Perfect and very durable

These are amazing. My 20 month old daughter ripped up the old paper ones. These are very thick and durable and she loves them.

Pros
  • I love the colors and variety of pictures it brings.
Cons
  • The cards may not be organized in a logical manner

Great Flash Cards best in my review

Love these. Bought for my 9 month old granddaughter and she loves looking at them. Holding up extremely well. That's my feedback.

Pros

Cons
  • May not be suitable for children with attention deficits

GREAT flash cards best in my review

I got these for my 18 month old daughter - they're the perfect size for her to flip through on her own. Colors are bright, pictures are easy for a toddler to identify. The cardboard they are made from is pretty sturdy - she's been able to bend a couple of them though. The plastic ring will come apart - this happened once before I noticed it and I spent quite some time finding all of the cards - but the ring does make them perfect for car or restaurant use. The ring opening occasionally is the…

Pros
  • They can make learning enjoyable and fun for little ones
Cons
  • Not enough opportunities for children to discover new words and concepts on their own

Great Durable Flashcards BUT.

Perfect amount of flash cards for my 6 month old grandson. They have different pictures, that are front and back. The reason for 4 stars is that I wish they were laminated. The cards are on the thicker sides, which I love! But I tried wiping them down with Lysol, they were a bit dirty, and the ink bled a bit. Not to the point where it messed them up though. I read from other reviews that it can be difficult for a child to determine what the card is and I can agree. But it doesn’t bother me too…

Pros
  • If any drool gets on it the cards will fall apart. My baby is wanting to put everything in his mouth
Cons
  • Not enough words in each color category

Good for First Words

Good product for teaching your little one their first words. The cards themselves are good quality, I wish they were a little thicker so they withheld the destruction of a 1 year old, but they aren't terrible. The plastic ring that holds them can easily be undone by a small child though. That is my one big complaint. One minute your child has them all together and neat, next your playing 50 card pickup off the floor because they have opened the ring.

Pros
  • SCREEN-FREE FUN – For over 25 years, Mudpuppy has created quality non-digital puzzles, games and toys for families that facilitate creative play and imaginative thinking. All Mudpuppy products adhere to CPSIA, ASTM, and CE Safety Regulations.
Cons
  • Not enough real-life vocabulary

Great for young learning children!

I bought these for my daughter to try to help her communicate (she is delayed in a few basic developments). I also bought these because they are on a ring she can carry (which she loves). And lastly because the cards are sturdy, thick, and nontoxic (made very well), and she still likes to put things in her mouth. These cards held up rather well and she did engage in looking through them while I said words. She however preferred to chew them, and one card was ruined over the 3 months we have had

Pros
  • Flash Cards
Cons
  • The cards may be too small or difficult to handle

Double sided flashcards with pictures and words

Bought these for my 2 year old grandson who is in speech therapy. I think it will be helpful. His 4 year old sister enjoyed them. She can use them to help with her letter recognition.

Pros
  • The flashcards are perfect for introducing new words to toddlers
Cons
  • The cards may not be organized according to difficulty level
