Review on Hakko FX888D Soldering Iron with T18 B D24 Tip – Model 599 029 by Kevin Singh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm glad I bought the Hakko FX888D-23BY with additional attachments!

Excellent soldering station, heats up very quickly. I fly electric RC helicopters and this Hakko FX88D allows you to work quickly with EC5 connectors and 10 gauge cable. Very easy to use just read the instructions, love the programmable preset temperatures. Hakko soldering tips are the best, there is a right one for every job, they are quick and easy to change out and most are included in the kit I received. The soldering iron fits the bill for me, it's an extended arm, a quality piece of equipment, meant to last and has had some good work projects. Extra soldering tips are worth the money, you get a good range of them. The pencil stand has a comfortable wet sponge and brass tip cleaner, won't slip on you. The user interface is very easy to use. There is only one power switch and two buttons, no frills, no frills. I am very happy with it and already know that it will not change.
