Our koi are used to cheap tetra koi food that looks like floating mini ramen noodles. So the first feeding was a disaster. I had to fish out all the new food from Hakari as the fish just spat it out. The next day, fed only a few pellets, spat out again. but this time you actually ate the pellet. When one ate, everyone ate! Now they eat like rabid sharks! I combine this Saki Hakari wax with Hakari Gold to boost the color. These saki pellets are small enough that our little koi, around 5 inches tall, can easily eat them.
