They are great for personal hygiene
I play golf in Phoenix during the day when the temperature is usually over 110 degrees skull and splash ice water on face, shoulders and arms. Then I soak the towel again, wring it out a little, fold it about the size of a handkerchief, and put it in my hat to cool my skull. It literally helps keep your eyes in focus on the hottest days and makes the rounds that much more fun.
