Smaller than expected but turned out really great for us. We put this in our daughter's room, she is 4 years old. It's smaller than your DVD player but obviously much bigger. Sound quality is good for her room but we have full volume so she can fall asleep. their classical music. I definitely wouldn't use it in a large room or during conversation. Overall it's great for what we need.
