We use LOTS of rechargeable devices in my work, from walkie-talkies to camera and flashlight chargers to 12V portable batteries and power tools. The whole thing, hooked up to flatline splitters, turned into a confusing mess after a while until it became a real nuisance to sort through. Looking for a solution I thought about using one of these little power towers and the results were way better than I expected. ENERGY SAVING With four 120V outlets per level with a separate switch controlling each level, you can leave a section on for things that constantly need power, or frequently used chargers that require the hassle of turning off and on again leave the other off. Planes with energy-guzzling "wall warts" that constantly consume energy and turn it into thermal energy just to be plugged into the grid. It won't save the world, but every small step is a step in the right direction. I used to unplug the whole power strip, but that's done now. Speaking of switching, a bright red LED indicates which level is on. The switches have a positive click and feel like they'll last a while. For newer USB chargers and high current drain phones, the Power Strip Tower draws over 2 amps from USB-A outputs. I have a GoPro camera that loves a lot of amps and this unit does a great job. each other, and the distance between 120v. Sales outlets are quite wide and I have not had any conflicts about neighboring properties. You can even put a wall speaker from a Mackie mixer in it, and it's pretty big. I saved the best for last. Looking for a cleaner and more organized workspace, your own extension cord can be a culprit, but not with this charging station. The power cord runs inside the base, and the top handle lets you roll up excess cord length to keep it as short as possible. It's so simple, it's just awesome. I didn't know it was like that and had to laugh when I saw how the designers handled it. Every once in a while you might buy something and think "why not, this might work" and then be surprised to find that the product exceeds expectations to quickly become one of those "why didn't I get one of these before?" The clichรฉ that some Doo dad "makes a great gift" is a clichรฉ, but I'm willing to bet a dime against donuts. that any professional who has many batteries would love to have one of these.
