Not as quick for thermometers and timers
I don't find the end of a spoon that useful or necessary. And it takes a while to read - I was expecting a much quicker read like I see on cooking shows. But it takes time to read the heat of the food. I tested it on my son's oatmeal. It lasted a few minutes. This is handy, but I only use the spoon part as a holder to keep the needle part clean.
