Reviewer Travis Flenker is absolutely right and I appreciate his feedback. Otherwise I could fall into the HP spam trap that many people complain about. I followed his warning and the printer works great. Setup was easy and the scanner is actually one of the easiest I've ever used. If you haven't read his review, here's what you need to know. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE HP SOFTWARE. YOU DON'T NEED IT AND THIS IS HOW YOU GET BEETLES. When I got to the point during the installation where I was prompted to download the HP software, I took Travis' good advice and declined the download. I simply used the printer's own screen to connect it to my Wi-Fi network, went to print from my laptop and selected an HP Envy 4520 as my printer. It worked without any problems. I was working on a Mac with Sierra 10.12.5. Hope that helps.
