We have 3 ceiling fans in our motorhome but this is our first motorhome and we didn't know if these products would really help so we only bought one. First, I'll give you a little advice. They are wrapped in shrink wrap. What we did is leave the plastic on the product. We did this for two reasons. First, the product is a square section of foam covered with a thin cloth material. Since the vent area gets pretty messy, especially when you're camping in the desert or any other place where dirt might get into your RV, plastic keeps the product nice and clean. Secondly, we sometimes like to open the vents just after a rain shower or on a foggy day, so sometimes a few drops of water get into the vent, which mix with the above dirt and you have a little pollution, which stains your beautiful vent. Glaze. This can also lead to mold. As you can see, intact plastic protects the "air cushion” from both dirt and water! We have found this item to be excellent at keeping out the heat on hot days and the cold on cold days so we bought 2 more for your van whether it be a caravan, fifth wheel, class A, B or C or a delivery van. They are slightly larger than a vent so fit well and are snug which is great! For little money you really can't go wrong.
