-- As USB-C becomes the standard with omnidirectional connectivity, even for charger connectors, I've found that short USB-C cables result in USB-C , so I got this kit to keep me connected. -- I connected the cable to my Galaxy S9 and had no problem transferring data as fast as any other cable. -- To test Fast Charge, I plugged the cable into the QC port and the phone reported "Fast Charge", excellent result and good charging through the PD port. The connector body is made of metal and has good strain relief to minimize cable breakage problems. The cable is round in an attractive bright red color with a tightly woven sheath. The jacket material is nylon and is smooth enough to slide over other cables easily. I assume that the shell is very durable. The contacts at both ends are gold plated. A great proof of its quality and that it offers a good electrical connection for a long time. The connector fitted my phone so snugly with a solid mechanical connection that I had no problem holding the phone by the cord. That way, you don't have to deal with a cumbersome cable connection only to find your phone won't charge overnight.
