I bought this backpack for a day trip to New York. I needed something cute but durable. I received a large one which looks huge on the model in the picture but it is a medium sized backpack. The handles are soft and durable, which didn't bother me at all. I was able to take something with me. I went shopping and was able to store my waist-length wool coat and a few other things in it. There is a zip pocket and 2 small pockets as well as a padded area for your laptop. Worth the money, love it!
