When I was looking for an SSD for my computer, I spent weeks wondering if I should buy a Sandforce-based SSD should or shouldn't drive or protect it with a marvel based controller (like on this drive) or something. While most SSDs have fixed their early bugs and other issues for now, I wasn't sure I wanted to dive into the world of Sandforce and end up regretting it. So while you can sacrifice some overall read/write speeds (Sandforce drives can read around 550MB/s, this drive has 510MB/s), you won't notice any difference when loading your games. programs or boot your system. I started my drive from scratch by installing a fresh Windows 7. Note that the drive does not come with a copy of the drive or phantom software. There were no setup issues, the firmware was not updated, and the drive showed tested ATTO speeds. With this, my computer now boots from POST to usable in 14 seconds. Overall I'm very happy with the drive and have always liked Corsair products for their functionality and support. In general, buying this drive will make any computer faster and more modern, and there are no problems with reliability or speed.
