Review on Logitech Wireless Trackball M570 Renewed by Mateusz Burzyski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It was a reasonable purchase, I will order more.

I took it to replace the mouse, because which ones I didn’t try, the “tunnel effect” still manifested itself, whoever encountered it knows that it hurts. I got used to it for about a week, the main breakdown was the first couple of days, I wanted to throw it out the window because it was unusual for my thumb. But he remembered his aching hand and continued. Then I got involved and I don’t want to work on a regular one, although I can. This mouse has worked for three years in the work-home mode, the second one is still financially tight. I survived the replacement of 2 or 3 batteries, there are no backlashes, very rarely the left button gives out a double operation, I read that this is their disease, but so far there are no problems. At work, modeling in SolidWorks, instructions in Word, plus a slight adjustment of drawings similar to Photoshop, at home, any games are all for her.

Pros
  • 1. No need to move the table. If you urgently need to print something without sitting down at the table, then it is much more convenient. I have a mouse and a trackball connected to one receiver (the computer is working, and only I use the trackball well). And the mouse needs to be moved, but it’s more difficult to do it while standing - the load is partially distributed on the hands, and the hand is not so comfortable. About games - it's easy. In any shooter, RPG, strategy, it doesn't matter. In the first place, I used both the mouse and the trackball in parallel, now the mouse is used, but only if you just need to make a couple of clicks. 2. Wireless interface. It seems to be a trackball. Still, the lack of a wire solves it. From one good battery, it lives for about a year in active use (Duracells are mostly not advertising, they just sit down for a really long time and the native one was Chinese Duracell, there were inscriptions in Chinese). 3. Unifying. Or whatever it's called. Allows you to connect multiple devices to one receiver. Really saves ports. On a laptop with 3-4 ports - a necessity, if you also need to pick up the keyboard in addition to the mouse (the native is dead). 4. Native software allows you to see the battery charge. The benefits of the software end there. 5. Life on one battery. I don’t know how they did it, but the old Logitech tailless mouse on two AAs lived for a week at most with shutdowns for when it was not needed. This included remains if I just leave it at work and a little less than a year on one battery.
Cons
  • 1. Lack of inertial scrolling. After the Logitech M500 was unpleasantly surprised. The problem was solved by installing the free program X-Mouse button control - it intercepts mouse clicks and passes it off as another action, it helps a lot in many programs, for individual programs you can set up your own profiles or simply set a general one. 2. The ball gets dirty. And strongly. Wash your hands, wash the ball, since it can be pulled out without problems, the ball supports should also be cleaned at least from dirt. Dirty ball - inertia and smoothness of control are lost. But unlike mice with a ball, the movement is preserved here. 3. Native software. When his native program is installed and finds the trackball, then not the middle button is placed on the middle button, but (tadam! ) - the application switcher. Those. pontovy analogue of Alt-Tab. I need the middle button, Carl! 4. Price. At the end of 2022, it cost an average of 3200-3500, I bought it from old stocks for 2900, after that the price was also raised there. Why, Carl? In fact, it's just the same 5-button laser wireless mouse. Yes, the same Logitech is now in December 17th from 2022.
