Review on 🔊 ELAC Debut 2.0 C5.2 Center Speaker, Black: Enhanced Audio for Immersive Surround Sound Experience by Dhoal Black

I replaced an old Polk CSi3 center speaker with an ELAC C5.2 center speaker in my surround sound system. The difference was immediately apparent. The Polk Center was a very good speaker and top of the line in the Polk range when I bought it years ago, but this ELAC is a step up in terms of clarity, reproduction and separation. Voices are clear, highs are never harsh, mids are nice and natural, and bass is nice and tight with no haze or port noise. Cons: They're pretty big. I have it right under my 55 inch flat screen and it's noticeably larger. Bigger boxes reproduce bass better, so that's a price to pay. He doesn't look that good compared to Polk. The fit and finish is impeccable but I don't use them with the grilles removed as I love the look. It's not really a negative, but these speakers aren't as efficient as some of the others, so they need a bit more power. I'm using a newer Yamaha RX-V383 surround sound receiver and it sounds great. The ELAC speakers sound fantastic and I'm still fascinated by the sound after a year.
