Sounds good. Quite large.

Sounds great! I go from Micca MB42XC. This is a significant improvement in quality! The Mickeys were great for the price, but so were these. It's significantly larger than Micca, which worried the woman at first, but she got used to it in a couple of hours. I like front-firing ports. We have placement restrictions so we can place it in a location that would normally block the return port. The sonic difference is noticeable, to say the least. The bass is significantly better than the Micca, soโ€ฆ

Great price, solid construction.

I replaced the Polk center channel with this and previously also replaced my NHT turrets with ELAC. My main concern when buying/upgrading is to find the best value for money and ELAC delivers that. The improvement in clarity and imaging was immediate. I was frustrated as hell to be honest, I hope I hear a difference because my NHTs weren't exactly cheap either. So I was pleased that the sound was brighter and clearer than before. I found I needed to enlarge the center channel a bit, but overall

Audiophile class Best in Home Audio

I've had a lot of center speakers from different manufacturers and wasn't happy with the sound. That's why I don't use the center channel speaker to listen to music and movies. My 4.1 system consisted of four ELAC F5.2 loudspeakers and a REL Strata subwoofer. I read reviews about ELAC 2.0 C5.2 and placed an order. I was completely surprised by the sound quality; the clarity of the dialogue is phenomenal, the center channel reproduces the upper and middle bass, the loudspeaker has weight andโ€ฆ

Just as good or better than the more expensive ones!

I wanted to upgrade the center channel in my Aura 3D home theater system: Denon AVR-X6700H in 5.2.5 configuration with Sony Core Series towers for L/R, Sony Core Series bookshelf speakers for surround , 5 Kipsch ceiling speakers configured as front/center and rear height speakers and 2 Kipsch subwoofers. After some research I decided (I confess, I bet) for this speaker. Its properties were comparable to those of much more expensive loudspeakers and the result confirmed this. Mainly used forโ€ฆ

Amazing sound, clarity and separation

I replaced an old Polk CSi3 center speaker with an ELAC C5.2 center speaker in my surround sound system. The difference was immediately apparent. The Polk Center was a very good speaker and top of the line in the Polk range when I bought it years ago, but this ELAC is a step up in terms of clarity, reproduction and separation. Voices are clear, highs are never harsh, mids are nice and natural, and bass is nice and tight with no haze or port noise. Cons: They're pretty big. I have it right under

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Sleep Center of the Year, a certain keeper!

My neighbor and I are older and not smarter and we have 5 home theaters together. So we enjoy the never-ending pursuit of musical excellence (within limits) and have great fun competing together on the journey to musical Mecca. We're definitely sticking to the old school and enjoying the old legacies that were beyond our ability to raise children and pay off mortgages. Steve Gutenberg is our hero, he has advised us for many years and discussed how we were able to weed out many good things forโ€ฆ
