I've had a lot of center speakers from different manufacturers and wasn't happy with the sound. That's why I don't use the center channel speaker to listen to music and movies. My 4.1 system consisted of four ELAC F5.2 loudspeakers and a REL Strata subwoofer. I read reviews about ELAC 2.0 C5.2 and placed an order. I was completely surprised by the sound quality; the clarity of the dialogue is phenomenal, the center channel reproduces the upper and middle bass, the loudspeaker has weight and power. The biggest surprise was that the center channel speaker matches my ELAC F5.2 towers and is only $229. I have found that adding a center channel speaker fills in the middle dead zone. This is the holy grail of center speakers. Many thanks to ELAC's Andrew Jones for an affordable center speaker for music and film lovers. I like listening to a 5.1 surround sound system.
