CHEAP MATERIAL for duvet sets

I wash everything before use. Clothes, sheets, rags, etc. I washed the sheets before putting them on my son's new bed to redecorate his room (birthday surprise). The seams have come undone and the cotton is starting to come out. The hole is about 6 inches long. Thought it might be my washing machine but it doesn't have an agitator so I guess you get what you pay for.
