So far, so good. in Lights & Lighting Accessories

This unit works mostly as described, the dimming function does not work as expected but in a good way. The device feels cheap and light and I'm afraid it won't last long based on other reviews, but given its features I couldn't resist. My only alternative was to connect to the ACC fuse and run the cable through the firewall, which I really didn't want to do. I installed this with iJDMTOY DRL LED strips in a 2014 Honda Accord so I'm hoping there won't be a premature failure due to circuit overload. The battery connectors mate ideally with the screws that attach the battery clips to the battery posts, and the module's plastic housing is simply taped to the battery case with double-sided tape. It would have been nice to have included double sided tape and output connectors but they would be of poor quality based on the price. I was perfectly happy to provide my car cable, cable sleeve and plug which I soldered directly to the bare wires of this unit. I soldered a T10 bulb connector to a dimming lead and plugged it into the socket for the bulb I was going to replace with an LED strip. I expected the LED strips connected to this module to only dim when they are already on (motor running) and when the dimming cable is powered. What actually happens is that the light is muted when power is applied to the dimming cable, regardless of whether the motor is running or not. In my case, this has the effect of the LED strips flashing along with the turn signals when the car is locked or unlocked, which I really appreciate. Based on these first impressions I recommend this product with the caveat that I'm not sure it will last long and will update this review if it fails.
