Review on XV U3 Xvive Ekkusubaibu XV U3 Maikurofon・dezitaruwaiyaresusisutemu by Chris Hayes

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Simple and less equipped, but only suitable for microphones or wireless powered speakers, not both.

The structure was easy. I connected the Xvive U3T to a Sennheiser E935 microphone and the U3R to a mixer. It sounded great and the distance was great, but speaking very softly or whispering can result in noise, dropout or loss of WIFI signal. The green light on the receiver flashes when cutting. It was very annoying. In fact, you would have to speak or sing into the microphone at a normal volume to avoid the audio being interrupted. The antenna must not be covered or placed behind it, otherwise it will lose signal strength. I don't have anything at home that's connected to my 2.4GHz WiFi internet. The TV was on and I had another WIFI microphone system running which may be causing the interference. It's also a breakthrough wireless system for all your gear, but I wouldn't trust it for big gigs. I would definitely use it for weddings, small concerts and parties. Updated 12/26/19. I bought more from a site that offered a 1 transmitter and 2 receiver package for $250. I bought two packages. Connected microphones, mixer, 3 active speakers (left, right and subwoofer). I used it for karaoke. The music played through well, but when I tried to sing. My microphone was muted or there was interference. I am returning them all and two Sennheiser microphones for this purpose. I lose $125 plus shipping for restocking. Update: I did a little research on the Xvive U3's frequency range, which is used in the 2440-2480MHz range. The 2.4 GHz frequency range is 2.412-2.484 MHz. Out of 14 channels only 1, 6 and 11 do not overlap due to the 22MHz wavelength separation. U3 starts on channels 6-14. This means you can only use 2 of the 6 channels on the U3 without interfering with the other U3s. You can use channel 1 on a U3 with another U3 on 4, 5 or 6 or channel 2 on 4 or 5 or channel 3 on 4 without interfering with the other U3. However, using a WIFI router, microwave, Bluetooth, TV or other 2.4GHz devices on the same frequency of the U3 frequency bands can interfere with U3. 2.4GHz is very congested compared to 5GHz. This is my own research and conclusion, but I could be wrong. Update 6/2/20: I returned the kit I bought from Amazon and kept the other two for the mics. It worked fine when using only two channels that didn't overlap.
