9 years will wear only that!
My 9 year old loves it. I didn't get it in any thermals, even in the snow. He wore it under his snowboard gear and it was 30 degrees. Now he wears them to relax. I had to buy him 2 more pairs. Highly recommended. They are soft, warm and comfortable.
