Excellent quality; Some features are missing

Judging by the picture I can pack a lot more in this bag. I imagined what I store in it and it pretty much fills the pocket. I feel safe carrying only small snacks for me and my two kids (each of us: 1 packet of tuna, 6 crackers, 1 granola bar, 1.2 ounce nuts), bug bracelets for each of us, sunscreen, visor and Leatherman /Multitool . . I feel like I can only put smooth objects with no sharp edges or points in the big pocket that the bladder fits in, otherwise something could prick or rub a hole in (the bladder) because there is no sleeve to put it around to protect. There is thick insulating material, but only on the front and back of the bag, not on the sides, so it doesn't completely insulate the bladder. The construction, stitching and insulation material appear to be very sturdy and of good quality. The shape, padding and strap spacing are VERY comfortable and were key factors in choosing this backpack. I'm so glad this part was accurately described by everyone because I feel like I can wear this backpack for a really long time without hurting my neck and shoulders. The waist belt seems well placed (nice and low for me, a 5'4" woman with a shorter torso) and can be useful if I wear it for long periods of time, but for everyday use it just gets in the way, so I just fold it back the sides and clip it behind the backpack, these two pockets are then useless for everyday use, maybe they would be good for a phone and/or keys when hiking, they're big enough to actually put my phone on hold which was pretty amazing but the problem for me would be that they need to wrap around my side so they are better for something small or flexible than something long and rigid like a phone.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No instructions
