I have an Elite Pro XboX One controller and I play A LOT. A common problem is that the back protectors, the vinyl, come loose (see picture). They're just glued on and will show after hundreds of hours of play. This isn't the fault of the controllers and that's not what this review is about. So I thought, let's see what we can do about it. Instead of buying a new Elite Pro controller for around $100, I checked to see if there was a protective case or something. Enter: eXtremeRate Soft Anti-Slip Silicone Controller. This is a good product, it fits so-so (see picture). But there are 4 problems and a CRAZY one I'll tell you: 1) It just fits so well. You might think it's convenient, but in reality it's not, and that's why some buttons are harder to reach. Is this a problem for casual gamers? Probably not. But if you play a lot of FPS games and want every split second you can get, you don't want some buttons to be harder to reach. 2) Perforations on the right hand side, especially on the right middle finger, irritate the skin. A LOT OF. I consider this a serious design flaw and after only 1 or 2 rounds of COD I couldn't take it anymore. THAT HURTS! 3) I use an Astro A40 gaming headset, but I also have a Turtle Beach. The controller WILL NO LONGER FIT with the audio adapter housing. You need to cut and remove some parts (see picture). 4) Now it's going to be hard to explain, but here it is: OH GOD, SMELL! I don't know what cheap silicone they use, but it stinks, no, it stinks. After unpacking, I had to air the apartment. Believe me, if you need to air the apartment from the smell of cheap silicone, then there is definitely something wrong with it. That can't be healthy. Since the Revain reviewer can't describe the scent, I've put together a scent chart (see image). I'm usually a friendly reviewer. If I buy something that isn't very good, but it's my fault and not the products, I will say so. But sorry, this product is rubbish and should not be bought. NEVER. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt and go through tons and tons of products. I rarely give 1 star. But it deserves all the dislike I can muster. And also: SMELL, OH GOD, SMELL.
