I forgot that manufacturers can make tablecloths with real edges, not overlocked edges. Even my old and tattered red and white checkered tablecloths, where countless family dinners were held, had jagged edges. It took me two years to find exactly what I was looking for when I finally decided to replace them and was pleasantly surprised by the distinctive quality of these tablecloths. I ordered a rectangular tablecloth first as 52" x 52" was out of stock. When I opened the package, the first thing that struck me was the thick fabric and the straight-stitched hem with a wide hem. I tossed it in the washing machine on a warm setting and dried it in a hot dryer to test color and shrinkage as I don't need high maintenance tablecloths, especially for everyday dining. The tablecloth worked great on both counts so I ordered four of these along with four sets of napkins. They look bright and cheerful on our patio and we have received many compliments from our guests. I'm ordering a few more square tablecloths to cover my hospitality tables and plan to order a set of blue ones later so we can change up the look of our tables. This is a great purchase!
