Impressive sound and build quality

Not to bother, in terms of sound quality the BASN Metalens are superior to any other headphones I own. I'm no expert, and in fact I'm a bit hard of hearing and have horrible tinnitus, but judging by the simple benchmark tests I run when I get a new kit (Google's audio test or similar, to compare dozens of online tests to find ). sound quality tests) is pretty damn good. They take on any challenge with ease, and in terms of bass and treble, driver stability and more, their performance is always comfortably within the range you'd expect from high-end headphones. Now I'm just a regular Joe. I don't play an instrument well enough to mention it and if you show me the mixer I don't know what I'm looking at. I don't even listen to much music on devices that could guarantee quality equipment, so I don't need earphones and many of the features that BASN offers are free. What I *really* want is clear, sharp, and accurate sound reproduction, because two decades of ringing in my ears has left my hearing that can safely be described as "dirty". Poor performance frustrates me easily, and any hint of failure is enough to make me give up. Here it is not a problem. As an odd example, I often watch clips of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on YouTube, and with my usual standard everyday headphones, I can faintly hear John Baptiste and his band playing in the background. I always assumed that Baptiste and the others were intentionally muted for the transmission, but when I tested Metalens I was surprised to hear the bass guitar and piano play beautifully. With normal mid-range consumer headphones, you immediately hear a clear difference. If like me you are somewhat hard of hearing you may find this experience quite amazing and very rewarding. It's like going from SD to high definition, and it's quite impressive. Sonically, BASN Metalens easily deserve 5 stars. I only cut them off for one reason and to be honest it's just a minor complaint. The included Bluetooth wireless cable - a feature that sets this product apart from my other two BASN headphones - works well. Personally, I don't notice any significant degradation in sound quality with a wired connection (that's also included, of course), and the compromise between sound quality and portability seems worth it, but the wireless cable has more of an annoying quirk. There is a blinking blue light on the small control panel that is very distracting to me and there doesn't seem to be any reason why it should be there. I like listening to music in bed while falling asleep, but since my wife doesn't appreciate the bright flashing light coming from my side of the bed, the Metalens aren't an option unless I use them wired. then no complaints. These things are durable. Opening the box feels like Christmas morning and I'm using them more and more as everyday headphones.
